Betty White has died at the age of 99. The beloved actress and comedian, whose massive list of television credits and occasional films dates back to the late 1940s, is said to have died Friday morning at her Los Angeles home. She would have turned 100 on January 17.

TMZ released the news, citing law enforcement sources, and in a statement provided to People his close friend and agent Jeff Witjas has confirmed his death.

“Even though Betty was about to turn 100, I thought she would live forever,” Witjas wrote. “I will miss her terribly, just like the animal world she loved so much. I don’t think Betty was ever afraid of dying because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden. that she would be with him again.

A 22-time Emmy nominee and five-time winner, White was perhaps best known for Golden girls and a long list of guest appearances on TV shows Community at This 70s show. Her most recent Emmy came in 2010 for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series when she hosted SNL, becoming the show’s oldest host at 88.

According to IMDB, she has over 120 acting credits and over 350 TV and movie appearances as herself. Her last big movie role came in 2019 with Toy story 4, in which she voiced a character named Bitey White. She reprized the role the same year for an appearance on Forky asks a question, a Disney + Toy story spin off.
