PS5 stock hunters will scour major UK stores this weekend in case a PlayStation 5 restock becomes available to buy again. Typically, PS5 restocks drop at GAME, Argos, Amazon, Smyths Toys and ShopTo on a weekday – but every once in a while a weekend restock goes live. And there’s a chance that at least one UK retailer will open PS5 orders again this weekend.
According to reliable PS5 stock tracking account @PS5StockAlertUK, Smyths Toys will open orders for the PS5 again between February 4th and 8th.
So there’s a chance the PS5 will be available for purchase again at Smyths Toys this weekend.
Elsewhere, while there’s no word on whether ShopTo will remove more stock this weekend, the online games retailer has been known to release surprise weekend restocks in the past – PlayStation fans could therefore be lucky this Saturday or Sunday.
The next big restock will come from GAME, with the main high street retailer set to release more stock the week starting February 7.
GAME has updated its website to say that its next batch of PS5 Disc and Digital consoles have a February 18 release date.which indicates a restocking on the GAME site between February 8 and 10.
The PS5 should be available for purchase between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on the day the restock goes live at GAME.
While talking about the incoming restock from Smyths Toys on Thursday, the Twitter @PS5StockAlertUK posted: “Exclusive: PlayStation 5 Restock Confirmed For Smyths Toys
“Smyths Toys will be offering the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition console in local stores starting tomorrow, through Tuesday. The catch is that not all stores will have the console tomorrow.
“We have been informed that the entire nation will be receiving PS5 Digital Edition consoles in store, but each store will be stocked on different days, until Tuesday. And yes, this is a Digital Edition restock only, with a very small quantity available.
“Our advice is to visit your local stores tomorrow morning and ask them if they have PS5 Digital Edition consoles in store. If they do, they will sell you one on the spot. If they don’t have it in stock, ask them when that store will bring them in.
“The staff should tell you which of the days from the 4th to the 8th this store will have them available to order.
“As always, we wish you good luck, fellow PS5 hunters!”
Argos, meanwhile, had a PS5 restock towards the end of January – but unlike previous stock drops, it was mainly for Ireland.
Unfortunately, the @PS5StockAlertUK Twitter account stated that there is currently “no ETA” for the next Argos drop.
While Amazon also had a PS5 restock in January where Prime members got “priority” access, but it’s unclear if or when there will be a drop in February.
With news of an Amazon Prime price hike hitting users in the US, if you’re considering signing up for the service you might want to consider taking out an annual Prime membership which will lock in the price as it currently stands for the next 12 months.
